The statistics are staggering--Black women are three to four times more likely to die from childbirth than non-Hispanic white women, and socioeconomic status, education, and other factors do not protect against this disparity. Kristian and Christine will be in conversation with Ebony Marcelle, Director of Midwifery at Community of Hope, to engage in rethinking birthing options for Black mothers. Ebony will give insight barriers to quality, equitable healthcare, logistics of receiving maternal care, and the emotional and psychological effects of inequitable prenatal care. She will also provide resources for expectant mothers and mothers who had toxic births. Register Now!
